We, at Unicorn Horse and Dog Playground firmly believe in creating educational opportunities to improve animal welfare and ensure the relationship between you and furry companion – horse or dog – are the best they can be. And as with all relationships this starts with good communication! Expecting how dog/horse to understand “human” is a big ask – its up to us to be able to learn their body language and thought processes to ensure the best understanding and outcomes. Plus – its fun! Doing different activities with your dog/horse shouldn’t be stressful (for either of you!) – we want you to be fully enjoying the time you spend with each other – building teamwork and overcoming challenges – great for everyones mental health! Never stop learning!
We have a range of events/training days/clinics happening here at the Playground. You are welcome to join in (as numbers allow – all need to be pre booked as they tend to fill fast!)

Sniffing is an instinctive behaviour in dogs, so giving it a purpose creates a great activity for all kinds of dogs! Great for high energy dogs, nervous dogs, reactive dogs, older dogs, working dogs, pet dogs….

We are looking at putting together a market – Paws and Hooves Saturday Market – held on the last Saturday of the month. We want this to be a fabulous opportunity for Pet care professionals to showcase what they do – and for the public to be able to find and chat to them! We are looking for Pet Food and Treats, Trainers, Groomers, Dog Walkers, Pet Boarding, Saddleries/tack, therapists and anyone else who supplies goods or services to Dogs and Horses!
We are also planning on offering free spaces to NFP organisations and Clubs – like dog rescues/foster carers – and give them a chance to let us know more about what they do and raise funds – local Pony clubs (as an example) would be able to run a car boot sale of horse gear – to raise funds for their organisation. I’m pretty excited about this one! Watch this space – and please contact us if you would like to be involved!
